How to attach it

With adhesive (recommended — for extended hold)

1. Clean your scalp with 99% isopropyl alcohol — any trace of oil or residue will compromise the bond
2. Apply a thin layer of scalp protector and allow it to dry completely
3. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive around the perimeter of the system — not the centre
4. Wait until the adhesive turns clear (2–4 minutes) — never attach while it is still white
5. Starting from the front hairline, press the system down firmly and hold for 60 seconds around the full perimeter

⚠ With ultra-thin skin, adhesive layer thickness matters more than with any other base. A layer that is too thick traps air underneath and creates bubbles visible in raking light. Thin and even is the rule.

With tape (quick method)

1. Apply double-sided tape strips around the perimeter of the system base
2. Clean your scalp with alcohol and allow to fully evaporate
3. Peel the backing from the tape and position the system
4. Press firmly for 30 seconds

Tape is faster and easier to work with but provides a shorter hold than liquid adhesive. Best for wearers who prefer frequent, independent changes.

Care and maintenance

Indian Remy hair should be washed every 7–10 wears using a sulphate-free shampoo. Standard shampoos strip moisture from the hair, which — unlike growing hair — receives no natural oils from the scalp. Air-dry whenever possible. Heat styling is fine at up to 180°C with a heat protectant, but air-drying significantly extends the life of the hair. For the skin base: always use a certified adhesive remover to fully dissolve the bond before removal. Never pull the system off without first applying solvent — this is the single most common cause of base damage and the fastest way to shorten its lifespan.
